About Me
On my way to Kenya...
My passion for the mission field began in 2002 following my first mission trip to Haiti. Shortly after, I felt led to Africa, and in 2005 spent ten days in Kenya. While falling in love with the people there, I got a glimpse into their lack of access to healthcare and resources. I have longed to go back to Kenya with a heart for the infants, children, orphans, and mothers there - especially those suffering from the HIV/AIDS epidemic. One of Kenya's main obstacles to improving HIV prevention and care is an acute shortage of trained health care workers, especially in rural areas. I am planning to move to Narok, Kenya in the summer of 2010 to join the AfricaHope team of New Mission Systems International. I want to share the love of Christ through community health outreach with a focus on prenatal and infant healthcare needs and education. This video explains that a little more...

ReplyDeleteThank you so much Katie for opening up my eyes even more to missions! This video is an awesome example of how so little goes so far! I believe we are all called to give, teach, and just help others in need in some way! Our country especially, is too blessed to just sit back and watch as other nations suffer! We can all do something!
